Welcome to the web site for the proposed new Plainville Town Hall and Public Safety facilities project.

The existing Plainville Town Hall and Public Safety Buildings are undersized and do not meet the needs of 21st century departments. In 2016, the Town of Plainville approved an appropriation of $2,000,000 for architectural and engineering design services for new facilities to be located on the site of the former Beatrice Wood School. The proposed new facilities will create a municipal campus with the Plainville Public Library.

In 2016, the Town hired the team of Kaestle Boos Associates, Inc. and Turowski2 Architecture to develop plans for the new public safety and town hall facilities. Design of the proposed new facilities is almost complete, and in June, 2017, at Town Meeting, the residents of Plainville will be asked to vote on an appropriation for the costs to complete the construction of both facilities. This site will provide information about the proposed projects including a description of the existing conditions of each facility and the Wood School, plans and renderings of the proposed facilities, and answers to many frequently asked questions.  If you are unable to find the information you are looking for, please use the Contact Us page to ask a question or leave a comment.
